Bio
Dr. Hsu graduated summa cum laude from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering. She subsequently earned an academic scholarship for her medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis and was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During her time there, she completed a combined M.D./M.A. program with a year dedicated to research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellow. She completed ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and pursued subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Hsu is a cataract, cornea, and anterior segment surgeon. She also manages patients who need long-term care of problems such as dry eye and other ocular surface diseases. She has been active in a variety of academic interests with peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and book chapters.
She is on the medical staffs of Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Carney Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton, and Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Dr. Hsu is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
