Dr. Englander was born and raised in Israel. In 2008 she received her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, California, and in 2009 completed her Internal Medicine internship at the Weill-Cornell Medical School. Dr. Englander graduated from the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary ophthalmology residency program, Harvard Medical School in 2012, and in 2014 she completed her fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Englander is a Board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) and the New-England Ophthalmology Society (NEOS).

Dr. Englander has authored numerous research articles in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her work nationally. Throughout her fellowship, she has been a sub-investigator in clinical trials for Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Macular Edema.

She specializes in the treatment of both medical and surgical retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retinal vascular occlusions. She performs advanced retinal surgeries for the treatment of various vitreoretinal diseases, such as macular holes, epiretinal membrane, retinal detachments, and proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
